Update 1.7.4
First devpost!
A little tuckered from rushing to get the story done for this week, but I managed it! Event 5 is now available for Patrons!
The update released here, though, is the UX update I put out on Patreon last week. This includes two major UX changes:
Post Card Game Menu:
This has been spruced up! Playtesters made it clear that a lot of confusion was being born from there not being enough time or information to digest at the end of the card game segment, which was leaving a fair number of people baffled at the end as to how they did. A new post-segment menu that details how you did and why seems to have been helping new playtesters.
Mood Connector:
After a fair amount of Maths, I've made a shader that connects the two sides of the connecting cards. This was important as the fact that the two pieces of information were connected at all was unclear, and the janky details box I'd created in the upper-left hand corner of the main component wasn't just cluttered, it was actively confusing people.
The connector looks pretty, and visually conveys card relationships, and my hope is that as people become more familiar with the system, it'll be a tool that helps teach players over time rather than forcing them to feel they have to learn the Flow element of the game all at once.
